Evelyn Bernstein

Evelyn Bernstein
Nature/Wildlife Photographer, and Environmentalist

Evelyn Bernstein found her way to photography following a career as an educator and later as an arts curator.  It was through Evelyn’s constant contact with artwork that would later influence and shape her distinct and unique painterly, photographic style of today.

Evelyn's  enthusiasm for the outdoors and for life, eventually directed Evelyn toward exploring the scenery found in America’s national parks and various less traveled spaces; later opening up the world to her like a fresh canvas to a painter.  It was a natural segue for Evelyn to combine her love and appreciation for nature with a modern day, artist’s tool:  the camera.

As Evelyn refined her personal style of photography, she concentrated on landscapes, horses, and the study of solitary man in nature.  Her sensitive and intuitive touch of light and focus and choice of subject matter, strengthens her goal which is:  to heighten an awareness of and profound appreciation for the world in which we live. I am extremely concerned about preserving our environment and preventing the unnecessary destruction of our cherished plant.

Evelyn continues to meet her goal, again and again, as her work continues to draw international attention and recognition.

On the heels of Changing Landscapes of Our Lives, Evelyn looks forward to her next book collaboration with an undisclosed poet who remains patiently in-the-wings, awaiting her availability.
